Alot of the many threads showing people's smoke/tint/paint jobs on their head and tail lights were lost along with the product information that was in those threads.... so for those of us who may be looking into one of these options please give us the product and results you used on your lights.... PICS and COMMENTS very much welcomed

Man, how do u knock those ugly orange reflector off the headlights, I like how bdc87 did his.
DMart
10-22-2008, 11:46 PM
yes, take them off!!! lol
to yarice: you have to crack open the headlight to get the reflector out, basically shove them in the oven and pry

Just dark enough to let some nice dark red come through and not to get the attention of cops.

What kind of sealent is it, if u dont mind telling and how long do u put headlights in the oven and how high the tempeture.
DMart
10-25-2008, 02:21 AM
i forgot what kind of sealant it was...bought it from autozone tho, and i believe i had the oven on at 250 and stuck em in there for like 2-3 minutes, but checked on them like every 5 secs, make sure it isn't touching the walls and that it isnt close enough for them to melt the plastic
whats the best way to smoke your tail lights? i want to do it, but i have nooooo clue how to.
architect, how did you smoke yours? i really like them.

just did this last night.. all i could find was my phone, so pardon the pic quality... high res pics to come soon. also, i want to tint the lenses, but can anyone tell me or point me to a website that tells me the laws on it in FL? idk how dark i can go or what my limits are. thanks!
tuckevalastin
12-13-2008, 12:25 AM
from what I've been told most laws simply say that you cant tint the light lenses at all
ROCKLAND TOYOTA
12-13-2008, 09:56 AM
depends on where you live at. for example in the county i live in police do not hassle you for tinted tails or windows or even the occasional mexican neon lights. but in the next county over its a totally different story.....

best bet is to not do an extreme tint unless you are willing to risk it. A nice light tint and most cops won't notice it.
