Did you feel a big difference after installing your front strut bar?

So I have lower tie bars all 3 as well as trd swaybar and trd springs. I am thinking of putting on a strut bar in the front. But am trying to budget my mods slowly over a period of years. So do you guys notice a big difference. I mean the difference I feel from before and after is tremendouse. from point a stock to point b after all these mods. Now i know if point a and b was just the strut bar only i should notice a diff. But i am wondering now if its worth it or should i put that money into something else. Like replacing my rear speakers.

Don't waste your money and save up for shock/struts. You have the only braces that are worth anything.

Cool thanks thats what i was thinking. I am hoping to wait another year before i completely blow out my stock shocks and then put on some tokikos

I can only feel the difference of the front strut brace at the track (I've had it on and off, and more than one driver could feel the difference in cornering).

Cannot feel it on the street. So, it depends somewhat on how hard you are pushing your car.

on stock springs and shocks , yes it does make a noticable differance,
but each to there own,

With the front strut towers so close to the firewall little flex is evident. Vehicles with the strut tower further ahead of the firewall benefit more from a brace since only the flimsy fenders and wheelwells are locating the strut towers.

If you haven't driven a yaris with the bar, you're only speculating.

I installed the bar, noticed better handling on the highway. Plain and simple.

Damn i want to get a strut bar now. I wonder if a 20 dollar ebay one is good enough. I cant justify paying over 100 dollars for a piece of metal

Don't do the ebay bar, it's crap! The thread has probably been lost but fitment is poor, and the welds broke. You can find the tanabe for $80.

they actually do help on handling and notice the difference right away i have them top front and top rear on my tc with stock sways on the glide through turns on progress springs and stock struts with limited roll now i just need a c pillar bar as my roof creaks everytime i turn in hard now

It depends on what you think you are gaining by installing an upper strut bar, really.

So what do you expect to gain by installing the strut bar?

True... it can be felt when you cornering hard while accelerating..
the under-brace can be felt when you trail-braking or cornering hard while deccelerating..

And reinforced chassis is showing its function the most in the unfortunate event of an accident.. it could save your life.. :wink:

of a collision. By changing its the body structural rigidity the car may not adequately absorb an impact. Think of egg trays. They're made with cardboard to protect the eggs. In the car, you're the egg.

had a trd strut tower bar on my matrix....never noticed a difference with it on or off...but i never tracked my car on a road course...

i think, that like the matrix, with the strut towers being pretty much attached to the firewall, you dont gain THAT much more stability for a daily driven car vs not having it. thus i will save my money for more noticeable mods...
