I remember a thread awhile back about these. Don't remember what the consensus was on where they went though.

I remember reading it too. Someone was finding water on the floor of their car and it was because the plug were not in.

Yeah they go in the bidy from below......
Best bet is to pull into the dealership and hand them to the service department and tell them to install......
Makes you wonder what other items of the PDI (Pre-delivery Inspection which the dealer is PAID to do from Toyota) were overlooked!

Probably everything except for the white film on the car.

I looked under my car and i found this on either side

it looks like the plug would go in there perfect, but i'm not sure
Can someone else with a liftback look under their car and see if they have rubber plugs in them? they're in front of the rear wheels & take a pic of how they go in (if they do go in there)

those go in the undercarriage ( frame ) on the left and right sides not far from the rocker panel and close to the rear tirewell . They're supposed to be installed by the dealership . Not a very difficult task . Just use piece of cardboard to lay on and not your best clothing . While you're under there , you may want to check all plugs for being loose or possibly missing . There must be at least 15 ( or more ) of those scattered about the undercarriage of the car in many shapes ( round , oval ) and sizes . They do become soft from heat and shrink from the cold which can make them loose . So , may want to give a checkup every 6 months or so . Can lead to water , mud , or critters to enter car .

You are smarter than the service advisor at Go Toyota in Colorado. When I brought mine in the clown didn't have a clue. It was the car runner that showed him where they went. It makes me really want to take my car there for service work.

Why are there holes in my car to begin with...?
Is this where the welding bot went, or some kind of screw on the inside, or to hook the car up to an assembly line...?

Arnt some of the plugs/holes for drainage if you were to drive your yaris into a flood, LOL>
so they DO go in those holes? don't get me started on HOLES  . Anyway , may want to check the plugs where your spare tire is located ( need to remove ) . I found the larger plug to be loose and as a precaution put clear shipping tape over those plugs to keep more secure , plus the clear tape will help to see if plug is loose . If you do so , clean the painted metal surface around the plug(s) so tape sticks better .

look just in front of your rear tire wells... they are usually missing from there..... if not, look for some unplugged holes in the front...
Its kind funny actually cause i went to my mechanic today and when he had my yaris jacked up i had a look underneath and there are SOOO many holes that have some sort of plug in them..... they could literally be for anything but generally by the shape the ones found in gloveboxes go in the holes just in front of the rear tire wells... or vise versa for the front wheel wells.
