1st Report the hit and run.
2nd Geico sucks and will not fight for you.
3rd Go to court and report what happend with a copy of the police report, if found liable since the guy behind you should of been paying attention.
4th try to sleep it off, your able to wake.
5th. Take the check and get bumbers from ebay or do a Body Kit.

basically, bumper one = one acident, bumper two = 2nd

bull it all happened at the same time... The last guy in the chain should ultimately get hit with the bill, at least for the rear bumper.

Get an insurance quote from 3 other companies... Then talk to geico again... if they start to pull shit, then say, "hey, I don't need this, you are trying to screw me, and I'm more than happy to take my business to company x, y, or z who have all given me quotes which I can live with."

And always ask to talk to the supervisor of the person who is jerking you around... keep going up the chain if you have to, eventually somebody will just get tired of you, and cave, ..... or you'll end up with a different (hopefully better) company.

Yeah I'm on a family geico plan and my dad got into a little parkinglot incident where he was backing up in a tall truck another car was waiting for him to take that spothe was in, looked both ways then a lowered celica tried to go around the person waiting while he was backing up and crunch. No damage to the truck so he had no need to call but the person with the celica called their insurance which contacted geico and somehow it was 70% his fault and 30% the other party. Geico doesn't care, they are really bad.

that sucks.. im sure once the liability adjuster talks to you, he will work it out.. sometimes we have to take two, just to be safe.. they can usually combine them if needed.. which they should be able to do.. just make sure to tell the adjuster that it did happen at the same time... was simultaneous, like boom boom, not boom..........boom. that does make a big diff..

bdc that does suck, but in ny its no fault.. no % for them

might not be that bad.... Going through my own in insurance to fix. one deductible, then try to go after other insurance for damages. Went to body shop, geico adjuster and car rental people were waiting for me. took about 20mins. Bodyshop people already started taking bumper apart, radior support, condensor, front lights and front back bumpers need to be redid..........as for as a rental.....I got a VERSA sedan! hehe I must say....it is a notch up from the yaris sedan.............

Sue the person that hit you, and GEICO. It will be the only way to get anything done.

If GEICO says they won't pay, or if they pay out the other person, take GEICO to arbitration.

I had to do this because GEICO (my insurance company) payed out the bitch that hit me before they even interviewed me, and guess what....I WON!

I kinda know how you feel. I got rear-ended on Friday. Very minor damage but the gal backed up and sped off when I went for the pen and paper to exchange info. I got her license plate number and description as she sped off.

I waited 2 1/2 hours at the police station to make my hit-and-run report. I may not fix it because deductible is $500 and damage is minor. Insurance company says the deductible is $250 if they can prove the other drive was uninsured.

Next time, instead of pen and paper, I'm reaching for my camera.

Why doesn't anyone ever chase em? Yeah people tell me what if they have a gun... But usually if they are running, they are scared for something and usually arent that sort of Im Paranoid/Gangster whos cool who has a gun.. They will just run and freak out like the robbers who run to their houses in the middle of a police chase.. They will stop eventually or lead u to their home... Especially with our Yaris's THey will run out of gas 1st =p

can't chase, that's considered leaving the scene as well, only screws you worse.

Oh man, that freaking sucks.

If that had happened to me, I would have given chase and if I was able to ram them, I would have. Then I would have ran into them multiple times, doused their car in gasoline, and set them ablaze. Then take off lol

All joking aside, I now carry my camera with me at all times
I hope the cops catch her and revoke her license

Ok, so I must be an older man by your frame of reference...49. I gave chase but got stuck at a light. There was a fresh bad accident 1/4 mile down the road. I wonder if she caused that while running away.

Edit: It was time for my shot of Geritol so I pulled over and took a spoonful before resuming the chase.
