View Full Version : How do you replace the factory fog light bulb
I've been seeing a bunch of aftermarket fog light installation DIY - although I can't find any simple replacement instructions.
I did a search and I can't find anything.
I looked in the manual, and apparently Toyota thinks we're too incompetent to do it ourselves and is telling me to bring it into the dealership to replace the bulb.
uhhh.
Ya. Thanks mmkbye
Cool.. Thanks for the help! lol... I looked through the repair manual - approx page 120 in the lighting section. Not as bad as I thought.

So you figured it out? Best way I noticed is to take the bumper off. But just doing that is pretty retarded. Way too many useless screws and clip things
Ya, that's pretty ridiculous lol... What I did actually is I took the 3 screws off, and just bent the cover outwards as opposed to actually taking the whole wheel well off, which is also a very far fetched idea from Toyota. Just gotta be careful not to break it, but I did it on both sides and I got my new yellow bulbs installed! I also did the DRL / Independent Fog Light mod which was a breeze to do. Now I can finally use my fog lights as DRL.

if your able to jack up front abit just take off splash shields and your golden. i just changed my connectors to ceramic.....
I'm still figuring out a way to disable the little "Christmas light" looking bulb next to the big bulb in the light case. I'm not sure if you guys know what I'm talking about. There's a little tiny light on the inside of the case, not the main bulb, it's in the inner part. How do I disable those lights all together, without having to actually remove the bulb?
