Been looking for a cruise control for my '08 Liftback S Manual. Couldnt really find one that worked. Supposedly the 09 manual's come with one. Is that true? can i get one for my '08 and install myself.

Cruise is an option on 09's. For your 08, your best bet is the Rostra kit - They have one for auto and one for stick:
