hey there all,
I'm asking this question of Toyota Aus on Monday- just looking for a little online polling first- Toyota Mechanics are most welcome to give an opinion.
The labor costs on the major services are all over the shop- how can a book service take more time at some dealers than others?
Time=Labor= money.
Eg- a couple of posts here about the 10,000 service-
user: firez3r0 got charged $169.00 and user: hasher22 paid $255.00.

10,000 is a small service- the Labor is the big cost- so why the difference?
Do we pay per mechanic?
Do higher qualified mechanics cost us more?
Do we pay if 2 apprentices are doing the oil change and the head mechanic needs to come over and give "on the job training"?

Lets get a list of the cost (with Labor as a separate figure) of the 10,000 service.
And please- if you are a Toyota Mechanic fill us in on the differant rate scales that you bill for the work- is a lower labor charge because of quicker mechanics or cheaper ones?
