I'm putting Tein S-Techs on my liftback. It's a 1.9" drop front and rear.

I'm looking at some 17" wheels that have 205/40/17 tires mounted on them. The offset of the wheels are 42mm.

1) Will these rub?

2) Will this work in terms of the speedo still being right?

I think you will be just fine I've seen alot of people using similar set up.

i heard they do when hitting bumps but other then that there fine. speedo needs to be recalibrated. you also might notice that your mpg are less once you put 17"s on depending the weight and how much over stock wheel weight they are but if the weight less then stock then you should be fine

17"7 +42 and a 1"9 drop will rub. because i have df210 17"7+42 the drop is only 1"6 barely clears

Well, it is a crap shoot to some extent. Every application is different.

Not all offsets are accurate. 205mm tyres actually vary in width quite a bit among brands and even across brands.

Plus, every Yaris is unique... built within acceptable tolerances, so what rubs on one Yaris may not rub on another. In fact, you may be fine on the left front and rub on the right front!

Generally speaking, a mild to moderate drop with 205 rubber on 7" wheels, ET42-45, won't rub or may rub under certain conditions, but not seriously.

I'll add this. It will rub, It'll rub on bumps, AND It would not rub. haha.

Anyways, your speedo would be off by 1.2 percent. Meaning at 100MPH, you're actually doing 98.8MPH, and at 60mph you're going to be going an actual 59.3mph.

i ran the same for a little bit, only rubbed on good size dips. normal driving is ok.
