Redline seems to be recommended by many people, Royal Purple and Amsoil as well, these are all true synthetics if I am not mistaken.

Amsoil....my choice. Though I'm a dealer. Will say most any full synthetic matching the weight requirement you need will do you adequately.
I use REDLINE MT-90 a 75w-90 weight and GL-4 with very good results . No more grinding when downshifting and the clunk into reverse has disappeared . I'm sure AMSOIL MTG be a fine choice as well . Both the YARIS Liftback and 2000 PRIZM ( Corolla ) were used for a weeked delivery route for many years . This was about 100 miles and had about 400 stops .

Any synthetic will be more than fine. I used Torco because I had it lying around.

I love the MT-90. You'll need 2 quarts for the change.
I noticed even better results after changing out the MT-90 that I put in after 5000 miles with new MT-90...helped to get more of the factory stuff out of the box.
