Why "Thotprawsis" ?

I'm new to this whole forum and blog thing, so I figure I would start with the first thing that came to mind.
Why the user name "Thotprawsis"? I guess it all started with my step-son. Ever since he was little I have always told him " Everything that happens is in someway linked to something that happened prior to it" or " think first".
It never fails to amaze me how we as a society can be so unfair to one another while all the while professing our own greatness. This includes me. I can not count how many times I have said or done something that has offended others.
Why can't I just hear myself when I'm talking? Am I not smart enough to take my own advice or is it possible that I "Thotprawsis" am human?
I guess what it all boils down to is I think too much and am therefore prone to make mistakes. I call myself "thotprawsis" as a reminder of this conundrum, i believe that is the correct word. It tells me to "think first" about what I do and/or say and what might come of it.
