Thanks for getting back to me. This is very likely a real dumb question. The ECU from the xd is straight up plug and play into the yaris? i.e. buy motor with ECU, unhook old motor, install new motor, plug in ECU, and youre done? That's an obvious oversimplification, I just don't want to overlook any thing assuming I understand it, and realizing that I have no earthly idea whats going on.

    thanks man

Hey man, thank you for the write up on your car. Its very very helpful. Im planning on doing a 2zrfe swap and im putting together my list. I was wondering if you had a second to answer a couple questions? Please let me know, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

East end, near where king and nash is. Had this yaris for 3 years, bought it with 122k for $6000. Used it now at 191k. I listed it on autotrader. The yaris is not a bad car, but the older models had less standard features. Last time, I was in a hurry to get a car, and bought this without knowing it didnt have ac, power windows, power locks etc. Took good care of it, but want to upgrade. I listed it for $4700. My brother recently got a 2015 yaris le for less than $10k with 65k on it. Newer ones are the same, except the design is completely different.

I really want to get rid of the one I have now, and buy a newer toyota matrix with a 1.8l or newer yaris

I did what you mentioned about drums.I removed after work today and turned star wheel untill the pads rubbed slightly.100% better know,3 clicks on the E-brake and rock solid...had seven before. The car rolls without resistance so I did not bring the pads out too far.

    Great tip and thanks again.

P.S the brake pedal feels better know aswell as I dont need to push down as far.

Hey, i just purchased 211hv for my 08 yaris, and i found your installation guide. I read it several times, but still not sure about some steps. When you talk about 3 ground wires what color are they or which pin (h1/1, h1/2 etc). also can you tell me which wires did you not use at all? I would like to get all of the functions working, but from what i understand not all wires have to be connected. Thanks in advance

check out ebay member microimage (he's known as Garm and I believe his username on the forum is caliyaris). He has a good set of lowering springs for $100USD and they lower it a good amount.

I would recommend running them with a rear sway bar because the rear springs are not as stiff as the front so it will lead to under steer. The rear sway bar corrects this. The sway bar can be purchased from sparkstrd.com
