I ended up using the Tein adjustable links:

SPS23-R5916

These worked well, though they were more expensive.

Thanks. I agree, its like $240 or so, which is not too bad for a couple of HP IMO and I happen to like and trust the butt dyno (couple of HP on actual dyno equals 3-10 on the butt dyno) :cool:

Finally solved!

Not the insulators.

It turned out to be that the rear dampers were not properly torqued down at the top, causing the metallic clanging sound. Driving it back from the shop...

Really hoping that's not the case. The Street Advance Z is not even a true coilover in the rear on the Yaris, its just a shock and spring with the adjustability bracket on top of the spring.
