Looks like you CAN get telescopic steering wheel!
Check this out. Also note height adjustable sealbelt adjusters...

Don't think height adjustable seat belts are an option on the hatch, just the sedan in NA.
Would be nice to have, on long trips I found on my echo at least that the seat belt would bite into my neck abit. Not done much in the way of long hauls with the Yaris yet. |

The TMMF made Yaris (made in France) have that feature. I played with that, on one in a dealership outside of Paris, last summer.

My 5-dr 2008 Hatchback has height adjustable seat belts.... I would LOVE the telescopic steering wheel and the sliding 60/40 seats though.
I knew about the telescopic wheel in other regions, but I didn't realize the Yaris anywhere had the start-stop feature. That'd be an awesome feature in heavy traffic. Hybrids have been doing it forever and I know it is starting to expand to other cars. Regarding the start-stop, does anybody know if it uses the traditional starter or does it use a "smoother" starter like hybrids do? One thing I like about the start-stop in hybrids I've been in is that there is no cranking when the engine starts, it just smoothly spins up. |

Which I can accept for hybrids, but in this case I'm talking specifically about the Yaris in that video. It is not a hybrid (unless I am mistaken). There is no electric motor driving the car.

The car in the test is the latest and last of the "old" 2nd gen Yaris to be offered. It's got start-stop tech on the 1,33-litre gasoline engine (the 1,0 gasoline and 1,44 diesel still do without it) and a 6-speed manual box. The telescopic steering wheel is standard on all but the lowest spec models, however all Yarii have tilting steering wheels. The seatbelt height thing IMO became standard in 2007 or 2008 (my 2006 doesn't have it).
