Kido brakes installed
I haven't had a chance to completely test the brakes out yet. Just a couple laps around the block. Here are the pics.
OEM size rotor vs Kido 286mm I had to trim the dust shield to clear the caliper bracket Brake lines Done

Awesome stuff Brian, looks good, how long did this project take, and how does it feel compared to the stock brakes? Holla at me.

That is freaking NICE bbk there!!!!!
Brian, do you have any 15inch aound...? If so hope you can test fit one of the 15 into your front. I seriously considering the Kido from garm. Although as mentioned it can clear 15inch rims, but i just need to confirm this statement as bbk like this involde with huge cost. btw mine is SSR Type-F 15x7

Garm or Brian, can you tell me how much these are. I would love to do this. I have been looking at the Endless upgrade for the Yaris, but this kit looks really nice too. Love the color of the calipers.

I think Garm still has 1 kit left with red calipers and bigger rotors. Im sure these will perform just as well as the Endless or Project Mu kits.

They're also 6-pot as well, right? (The other kit that Garm has left as of right now)

Looks like you put the rotors on the wrong sides. I think the drivers side rotor should be on the passenger and vise versa. I could be wrong but i believe the slots should be rotational facing forward so they channel the air and brake dust not opposite. Simular to directional tires channel water.

*Pictures from Garm's thread on MI
This is the one that Brian has, I think. See how the vanes are vertical (at least that's what it looks like to me)? Since they're vertical, it won't matter which way the slots face. I believe this is the bigger of the two BBKs. It has directional vanes (again, looks like it in the pic), and should be installed with the slots leaning forward like how Brian has them (since the vanes have to be leaning backwards, but someone correct me if I'm wrong with all of this). |

just to help the vendor out abit.
I am from Singapore. Sole distributor for KIDO brakes too. We have sold alot of sets over the past 2 years. None broke down.... The oldest kit is nearly 2 years old and still on the car running without a problem. Auto-crossing every 2-3 mths. Pads of course he went for a more harsher ones. As he needed the crazy braking power. Here's some pics of kits installed. We have few Yaris(USDM) and Vios(JDM version of yaris) installed with the KIDO BBKs. And some other cars too.. |
