Comments on Your Yaris
I don't know if people in South Jesus are just starved for something different or what, but everywhere we go we get comments on our car. Just today I was out taking Fall pictures and had the car parked beside the road. A guy stopped in the middle of the road and was commenting on our car and how much he liked it. He first said, "I like your PRIUS." I said in a commanding tone, "That's NOT a Prius!".
Seems everywhere people are commenting on our car. Always people are staring at it go by. Now, it's not the greatest in the world, but maybe those GAUDY rims (vwtech's description, not mine ;)) are what gets peoples' attention. I like the comments, but sometimes people are a pain about it. What kinda comments do YOU get on yours? Just wondering.

I get asked what my car is all of the time. I tell them a Vios and they are stumped...I then tell them in the States it is the Yaris. A lot then respond that it can't be a Yaris cause none of the ones they have seen look like mine. I respond with "you are correct, they aren't".

Sweet ride, I like your car, sick.
And yes, older folk tend to call it a prius, and are surprised when I tell them it's gas only. |

Most comments I've received on my Yaris have been positive. There isn't too many Yaris liftbacks in my town, so I still get a lot looks from strangers.

People do a double take when I tell them its a 1.5 liter - they assume that its a small car with a 1 liter engine.

I have told a few that it comes factory with the 2zz and they are stunned that I still get the good mileage I do.

I get a lot of compliments on my Yaris, but I have to admit most are from women or guys saying their wives/daughters would love to drive one.
I don't think it's a "chick car," but I do think it appeals more to women than men. Of course, in Texas most guys drive pick-ups, etc. When I was in Germany last week, I saw a ton of Yarii driven by all sorts of folks! Cheers! M2

People usually ask how the mpg is, and when i tell them i get about 40 mpg they ask what it is and how it is to drive. Haven't gotten many comments lately though.

One reason I debadged mine was to keep people guessing. That guy who was looking at the car today was kinda looking for the name, so he just called it a Prius. :)
