xD TPMS ECU interchangeable? - Toyota Yaris Forums

Thinking about a putting TPMS in a winter wheels setup. After looking at the EWD for both the Yaris and xD, it seems the xD module has an extra wire unused by the Yaris. Plugs look physically compatible.

So, anyone with access to an xD kind enough to test out whether or not:

1. the xD module will connect and

2. once connected, will it work?

Yes, it's a lot of trouble but my local junkyards have xDs but no yaris TPMS ECUs..

I know the XD has a reset button under the driver's side dash...that might be what that wire is for...

The XD's TPWS receiver and ECU both have different part numbers than the Yaris ones, so I don't believe that the XD parts are swappable.
