For those who may be interested in dropping more than 20lbs from their front end...
I would recommend the 11.5lb Braille, Item Number B14115 or B14115C (carbon fiber.) This is an awesome battery with the most PCA and CCA for any battery in this weight class. Please note: Braille batteries can be mounted with universal Jhook tie downs. Custom mounting kits and boxes, like the one shown above, are sold separately. We have access to the FULL line of Braille products. If you want something that we do not list on our website, please grab the model number from the Braille website and give us a call at 281-917-0221. Thanks again everyone! We'll be adding those holders (sold separately) to our site within the next couple days. In the meantime, you can get info, pricing, and model numbers for those holders from the Braille site and get in touch with us.
The Batteries can be installed with standard J-hook tie downs, which is what most people have been using to put these batteries in their cars. Thanks again! Last edited by NonStopTuning; 02-04-2009 at 08:15 PM. |

Either way, I would still suggest going with the 11lb, B14115. Great battery and more than 20lbs lighter than the OEM. We keep plenty of these in stock so give us a call or order from our website if you're interested. |

Our first shipment of 11 and 15lb batteries came in today. I knew they would be small, but I must admit I was blown away by how small they actually are in person.
They definitely look to be of very high quality and I love the fact that each battery comes with its own tech card, showing size, specs, date on which the battery was manufactured, and CA test results. Each battery also comes with a full one year warranty. Most of the batteries we received in our first shipment are already spoken for, so I have placed an order for a second shipment, scheduled to arrive Friday. I would recommend the 11lb to most customers not running extra lighting or stereo components. If you have much of the latter, then you may want to consider stepping up to the 15lb or larger. |

I would be down with that also. My problem is I like the location on the stock battery where the rod used to hold the hood is affixed. I would like to see a kit keeping that fitting in the same location or will have to come up with something on my own.
