HID question
Got some new quality ballasts finally for my HID kit and the lights are much brighter now and no flickering problems. However after i turn my car on and go to turn the lights on they never turn on the first time, it always takes 2-3 times to get them turned on by turning the headlights on and off. Does anyone know why this is? I have even tried waiting a little bit after I start my car to turn them on and it still does it?

I don't think it's the relay, the relay worked fine with old ballasts?

it is likely a ground or electronic interference problem. or crappy ballasts

Actually I got a quality HID kit, quality ballasts and quality relay harness, it works great except it takes exactly three times turning it on and off at start up to get the lights to work. First time-no lights, Second time one light, third time both lights...it's weird to say the least

It sounds like a problem with either the ignitors in the ballasts, or the bulbs themselves. Where did you purchase the bulbs and ballasts from? Also, when you FIRST turn them on, can you hear the ignitors in the ballasts trying to fire? You'll probably have to be outside the car to try and hear them.

Figured it out today...well somewhat...if I start driving with driving lights on the headlights work on first try right if I turn them on right when i start driving the car. Awkward. I'm thinking between my HID projectors, my LED grille lights, my fogs, my interior lights and my stereo I could probably benefit from a voltage stabilizer.
