I can buy the concept idea, but not the story about surviving destruction order. The vehicle would most likely still be property of Ford and that being the case stolen at this point. I can't imagine them making sale to a private contractor for destruction as that would leave them open to copy right infringement/this. You could not even register the vehicle if it belonged to Ford as there would not be a title/bill of sale. I guess you could just park it in your living room as a conversation piece.

BTW, the car is pretty cool with those doors.
