Does the oil filter get very hot?
Since I want to buy some magnets for my oil filter, I want the type that doesn't lose its magnetic powers because of heat. Do you think the oil filter gets to 176ºF?

I believe operating temperature is around 180 degrees, so I would assume the oil filter sees that temperature. However, I am no tech or expert.

The filter gets hot, but I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Too hot to remove by hand after it's been awhile.
