How long will you own your Yaris?
How long do you think that you will really own your Yaris?
I am just asking because when I was younger I would change cars like underwear. Now that I have this wonderful little Yaris I plan on owning it for 16 more years if all works out. Peace : )

I drove my f-150 as a daily driver for 10 years and I still own it, so I am betting I get twice that out of this Yaris. I am not really into the whole selling your car thing so I will probably own it until it gets totaled out. Hopefully that wont happen though.

I would like to own my "Yarrie" for at least 11 years, that is how long I had my "Callie" a 97 Chevy Cavlier.

This is a great car and I hope to keep it around as long as it wants to be around.

I'm planning to keep my Yaris until it becomes mechanically unreliable or falls apart.

I will probably keep my Yaris until it hits 200k. I'm at 83k now, so almost half way through my ownership. I do not have a love affair with my Yaris and can think of many other sedans I would rather have.

i suspect I will keep it as long as I can keep from getting in a wreck, and as long as stuff doesn't start to break on it. Once I have to start replacing parts every few months... then i'll be looking to buy a new econobox. |

I'm probably going to trade mine in within the next couple of weeks on a Tundra.
I just moved, so I don't need to commute anymore. I need a truck for firewood. It's been a great car for the last 3 years, I just wished it was a little more comfortable for a 6'2" person. |

I owned my last car for 16 years, and only replaced it because I wasn't good enough technically to solve the issue. Ever replace an oil pump seal on a DSM engine? Please shoot me now My eclipse has 230K miles on it, same engine and transmission. No major engine failure, or anything other than standard maintenance. I just can't afford to drop the entire transfer case / engine / etc. to replace a 12 dollar part. So the car sits... in the driveway.... cold and alone I can't seem to part with it due to it being my first car and all.... /sigh Anyway yea. Here is hoping I get 20 years or 2 million miles, which ever comes first! |

Yea, I will keep mine until it starts breaking down and starts needing more repairs than its worth... even if I magicly get rich, there are so many other things I rather spend the money on. Don't plan on kids/family at ANYtime so I think I can rock a 3 door forever.
