Others will chime in, I'm sure, but I'll give you my .02 worth.....keep shopping. You can get a brand new one for not much more. I paid $14,000 for a fully loaded 2010 hatchback, so one with no power options (like the '08 you're looking at) should be even less. I know you're not looking for a new car, but the point is you should be able to get an '08 base hatchback with 36K miles for $9000 or less.

That's a decent price, but seeing as how one of the hubcaps is chipped I'd offer them a firm $9.5K.

That seems like a mediocre price...
I bought a 2009 4-door AT sedan in May for $13,400 after TT&L (no sales tax in OR). This was with the convenience package as well as cold weather package. |

I looked at the carfax and I noticed it was a rental vehicle? I would think twice about a rental car. People tend to abuse them since it is not their car. Plus the price is too high. I would get a new one before I would pay that much. Good luck

The car is still a baby. It will age well together with your girlfriend.
I wouldn't have posted where it can be purchased while there are yaris-hungry sharks around here and ready to snap at it. I hope that you're not late if you decide to buy it. |

If it helps, I just paid $9,700 out the door for a base '07 w/ 44k miles. I've put on another 1000 miles in about 2 weeks and have been really happy with it. Whether or not I could have found it cheaper, I have no regrets about paying what I did.
