You could fill your car up with dryer sheets, It would eliminate the static and deodorize at the same time. It's actually funny that you mentioned this ,I have also noticed getting shocked quite a bit lately and was almost considering getting some of those oldschool ground strips that hang under your car. Static can really do some damage to electronics such as your phone, laptop, games etc.

You could try getting a grounding kit.

We need to figure out a way to collect the static energy and turn the yaris into a the worlds first hybrid electric that runs off of it's own wasted static electricity!

There's a couple things you need to remember ...
- Winter time is always dryer so shock is more prone to happen when getting out of any car. - Shock depends on what clothes/coat your wearing. I have this problem more when I have my wool coat on. Suck it up and take it like a man lol.

the only thing that has ever helped me this is grabbing ahold of the body panel like the door frame and holding onto it while i got out.......
at work whenever i got out of the van i also got shocked, this cured it.....

your ass generates static electricity by rubbing the seat while you are driving...
if you get out of the car without releasing the electricity from you ass, you get shock by touching anything metal while the electricity tries to release itself... what i've been doing, touch the metal part of the car while getting out before my ass take off the seat... once my ass takes off, the electricity immediately goes into the metal part of the car without shocking... so... remember, touch the car (with your fingers) before you get out... ps... hold the metal part all the time until you are totally standing outside of the car... |

You can make one of your own by looking at the DIY section or you could take a look at ebay.com
