Its an invasion!

Guess how many Yarii I saw on the road today?

8! 5 sedans, 3 liftbacks!!!

I think two of them were repeats, but that is still 6 Yarii! That is almost half of how many I think I've seen since I got the car. Crazy!

Of course, I live in a very rich town full of very smart people, so its no surprise.

I see at least a dozen Yaris hatchbacks and sedans every day.

As the most popular passenger car in Thailand (if you inlcude the sedan model), there's not too much chance of me feeling unqiue when on the road LOL. In a 30 minute drive I can see hundreds of them :)

Ditto... If I took a picture of each one I passed, I would not have my hands on the wheel much

Do you see a lot of externally modded ones up there though?

At a guesstimate, I'd say 1/50 Vios' (Yaris sedans) are modded with non-Toyota body parts, exhaust, suspension or wheels, and 1/200 is fully tricked out.

When it comes to the Yaris liftback it's a different story though - there I'd say 1/10 is modded with something that didn't come from Toyota, and 1/20 is fully tricked out (lowered, body kit, wheels, graphics, exhaust).

The sedan is obviously more appealing to the ma and pa set :P

A person that lives in my area, bought the same damn liftback as me! Same Model, same color, same everything!...Almost, the same everything...

Only problem is, mine isn't going to look like his in a few months ;) Well....i hope not at least.

There's a silver LB about a mile from me that I see most nights on my way home, but other than that, I think I've only seen 2 LBs in the three months I've had my car. And only slightly more sedans. As far as ubiquity and Toyotas go, around here, it's the Corolla.

you must have driven by my area. saw 3 yaris liftbacks today, 2 (white and meteorite) at the local library. typical day for me. it was great how yesterday i actually saw a red lamborghini gallardo and a red yaris sedan stopped at a light next to each other. im sure the lambo owner was laughing the yaris' power, while the yaris owner was laughing at the lambo's mpg.

I see maybe one LB a day here in Tucson, it always makes me happy to see one. Unless it's blazing blue, then I get mad that someone else has my car.

There are many sedans where I live, but I'm proud to say I'm the first one in the area with a liftback. Ive seent a bayou blue one about 5 times, but I didn't start seeing it until 4-5 months after I bought mine. I first saw it driving to work and I drove next to the driver (a 45-55 y/o woman) hoping she would notice, but she had the "eyes fixed straight ahead" thing going on. Since then I've seen that one about five other times, but I'm never in my Yaris. All the LB yarii sold at the dealer here are from out of area buyers, so any that I do see (only one base auto Blazing Blue and a Polar White) at the dealership don't stick around town. Mine was the first liftback I ever saw and I bought it on site. So far I haven't had any buyers remorse, and I'm pretty sure I never will.

I am shocked at the few Yaris LB I see (see tons of sedans however).

I got all excited yesterday as I came up on what I thought was one (it was an Aveo5).

I guess they are soon to be everywhere around ATL however.
