That video is from the Yokota air force base in Tokyo, my friends used to run there all the time.

The 1.3l Vitz is available with AWD in Asia... if the drivetrain fits the 1.5l that would be the easiest way to convert to RWD

hey yeah that's a pretty cool idea actually! Combine that with an engine swap to a 1.8 or 2L engine, and it would be a BEAST!

Agreed. Save your Yaris and go buy a RWD junker to learn on. 240SX's can be found for around $1500 and are great learner cars. They're essentially the drifter's Civic since everybody has one. For around the same price you can also look for old Toyota Cressida's, BMW 3-Series, Mazda RX-7's or Miatas.

I lose the rear end of the Yaris all the damn time. It drives me crazy. 50% of the time I will take a corner hard and it will stay nice and flat. The thing that surprises me the most is the amount of tire squeal. I can take a left turn across a two-lane road at 45 MPH with little to no squeal... pretty impressive. However, if there is any (and I mean any) moisture on the ground, back end comes around and I'm countersteering and steadying the throttle.

there will be video's up when it's ready. It's a project thats only been worked on a total of 18 days. It's seen great progress so far. Sideways..is that you graham? or dave? haha its mike.

yep, once they squeal your rear end is on its way out lol... i'd rather have a little squeal to let me know exactly when to back off.
