This may sound stupid but why do you have to duct tape the lights? I even see you have some on your side indicators . .... ?

nice pictures btw, I've always loved your yellow wheels.

LOL @ the one black wheel.

Its just blue masking tape. Just in case of an accident they don't want pieces all over the track. I had some issues with oversteer in the morning just running super sticky tires in the front with normal in the back. After lunch time one of my buddies let me borrow his R-Compounds.

The right rear wheel looks black in one frame and then matches the rest in another frame. I too am curious about the taped headlights.

That's cool you can just tape them up. I have a sportsbike, and you can't even go on the track if you have headlights/tailights/etc.

It was extremely fun. The track was thunderhill in willows, cali. That sucks about the sports bike. Tape should hold it together if anything were supposed to happen. The max speed i hit on a straight away was 95 miles a hour. The skyline was hitting 130+ in the same place. I wish i had a extra 30-40 horsepower, woulda been a little more fun.

Those front tires look like Toyo R888 to me based on the tread pattern I can see in the second photo. Otherwise Yokohama's A048?

Yaris's headlight lenses are just plastic. There's plenty of glass in the cars' windows anyway.

And I'm really digging turn 5 - I can only imagine the feeling of dropping in after the apex, the gradient change. I like!

P.S. : Your photographer woefully needs more focal length. Cars are so small they look little bit lost in the compositions.

The fronts are a048's. You have a good eye. I was running falken ze-912sfor the morning. The car had some oversteer which was kinda scarry. The afternoon i had ra-1s on the back and it understeered a little. I gained about 10mphs a hour through some turns. Turn 5 was one of my favorites.

Which race organization put on the event? I noticed you didn't need side numbers, that's unusual for track days.
