Take a look at my damage from being locked out

estimate for making look like new?

dang, it wasn't worth it eh.....i could have signed up for Triple A and had them do it...............for 55 bucks(yearly membership)

took me 1 hour and half to open the door. Use two long sticks one to hold the alarm fob and the other to poke the open button......

wasn't worth it....i have a feeling it will be about 300 dollars

Oh my........what were you thinking dood! That is over $2K worth of damage if you want it all fixed right. You'll need to have the top of the car re-painted.

For future reference
Learn to use a Slim Jim and keep it stashed somewhere outside the car,,
Next time instead of butchering your car door trying to unlock it ,go from the passenger side with a coat hanger and try to snag the keys,
I agree smashing the window is the clean way in when thinking of future repairs,
Get a key made and keep it in your wallet
Or if you had AAA a locksmith is part of the plan or if you arent a member calling a locksmith would have set you back about $75. He'll use a Slim Jim

Wow I'd be too embarrassed to start this thread after all that

Suggest you get AAA. Your car's suffered enough LOL

+1, It would have been way cheaper and quicker.

If you don't have the skills to break into a car to unlock it you should never try. My suggestion is next time look for a spare key lying around like one of the ones pictured below. Then wrap it in a t shirt put it through your passenger window and unlock your car that way. The reason you wrap it in a t shirt is so it does not damage the interior when it goes through.

New window $200
New paintwork $2,000
The look on your face after what you realised what you just did..... Priceless
Hope you have a mastercard cause I don't thing insurance covers stupidity.

Might seem that i'm being harsh, but I hope you've learned your lesson.

I'd prolly break that small quarter window next to the outside mirrors, someone with skinny arms could unlock it... then patch it up temporary and still drive it for a while
