Car not starting after stalling
On two occasions I have stalled my car whilst reversing off my drive. When I have gone to re start it, nothing happens....the engine turns over but it doesn't start. I have to wait about 5 minutes and then it will start....anyone else have this problem or she'd some light on this. I have a Yaris Trend (2012)

Are you sure you are fully pressing the clutch pedal when trying to restart it?

Many cars will flood a little when stalled like that. Next time try doing a "clear-flood" by holding the gas pedal to the floor when cranking. This allows air, but no fuel into the engine while it clears out the liquid fuel. Let off the gas if/when the vehicle starts.
It can't be the clutch pedal switch as the vehicle would not crank. Cheers. |
