3rd Gen ECU Reflash
Friend bought a weird generic ecu reflash program from Russia to tune his 2ZZ XRS Corolla. It uses a tactrix openport and it can also read and write maps. It also can tune the dual VVTI. He had a lot of success with it on his car and the software states that it can tune any Toyota up to 2014. We were just messing around and we successfully read the map on my 2014 Automatic LE Yaris, but we didn't get to reflashing anything on it. I only have a intake and exhaust so I don't think it would be worth it for me to mess around with it. It also doesn't say if it works with automatic cars. I'm pretty sure it will void my warranty as well.
Any thoughts? I have never even heard of that weird Russian company. Need opinions on whether or not it would be worth it. I think this is the first I've heard of the Re-flash for our cars. |
