Dipped my Yaris
While I was away working the booth at a major event for the Charity I Co-Founded, I had my Yaris dipped 2 tone with dipped eyelids.
I had the hood, roof, spoiler and hatch dipped black everything else got dipped white using Six coats of both the Halo EFX Bright white and Covert Black.. then 2 coats of Real Clear over the white. |

Looks like it turned out good. Are you going to peel the emblems or leave the dip?

That turned out great. Best large scale dip I've seen. And yes, cost wise, how does this compare to a conventional repaint?

Total cost for the body was $750.
$650 for the dip itself and since I was away an additional $100 to have it picked up and dropped off (the installer's shop is around an hours drive, each way, from my house. The rims cost me around $42 (can't remember if it was 6 or 7 cans I used) The Front emblem was actually not dipped when I got it, so I did that myself. The rear was covered as I had instructed. I like the way the rear looks, not 100% sure on the front yet. Thinking about getting one of the LED badges... |

Was that done using commercial sprayers, or extremely good rattle can work?
Also, how do you care for that going forward? Just wash with soap and wipe down as I'd assume it cannot be waxed?

Went to an "Authorized Plasti-Dip" installer (got Halo EFX go figure) but yes it was done with specific spray equipment. (the rims were done with a rattle can)
As far as care, nothing special. I can run it through a car wash and not worry. It can be waxed and Dip Your Car sells a spray protectant as well. If you check out Dip Your Car's official youtube they demonstrate how durable it is. |

Recently dipped my wheels, thinking of doing the roof black due to clear coat coming off, and unfortunately can't afford to have it repaired professionally.
