2008 Yaris - replace key ignition with keyless (push button) start
Anyone know anything about this?: http://www.advancedkeys.com/Prod_AK105B.html
Can I use it to replace my mechanical ignition with a keyless system? --- Background: Talked to an A/V / Alarm installer today about trying to replace my mechanical (key-required) ignition with a keyless start system. Said he didn't sell that, and thought it might require a factory ignition replacement, which probably doesn't exist. Things he mentioned:
Anyone ever replace their mechanical ignition in a 2008 Yaris with a keyless one? I'm talking about key fob in the pocket, never have to take it out to start the car - just a proximity sensor, etc. I live in a flat place (Chicago). Willing to remove the steering wheel locking mechanism if necessary. Trying to find options. |
