Yeah we usually get raped in Canada when ordering from the US. There are a few little things I want for my M Coupe but the shipping on some of them is more than the actual part... quite ridiculous.

Charles, you said yours is functional? How much did you pay for it on eBay? There are alot out there at different prices.

I'm on the NJ shore and got my stubby about a week ago and I can tell ya that the FM reception is crap in comparison to the stock antenna. AM is still AM but FM stations that I got in crystal clear are now not so clear. (not that I listen to much FM anyways, but still)

Can you post a pic of it on the car from a bit further away?

Also, any noticeable difference in reception? I don't listen to FM much, but would like to get the stations in clearly when I do...

Cheers! M2

Agreed. I installed short stubby antennas on both my ex-Mini Cooper S and Mazda 3; reception of AM is still OK, but noticed FM reception deteriorated. Short antennae is for looks, but definitely don't expect the same reception as the OEM "RC" antennae.

Ouch! It's in the middle-to-upper 70s here in southcentral Texas! I hear the East Coast has been much colder than normal...

Thanks! M2

Got the same one as jaser - maybe slight degradation on weak stations but nothing I would call dramatic.

Just called the Toyota stealership and they wanted C$36.10 + taxes for an antennae mast on the 09 Matrix .

Just got mine today... I put it on my BMW instead, lol.

The reception is really good for it being 4" tall-- no noticeable difference from my stock 16" antenna (which, even tho it's mounted to the driver side fender- sits taller than the roof of the car).
