Diesel isnt all it used to be. Back when I as driving my 240D diesel was 79 cents a gallon and gasoline a buck. So you REALLY saved! Nowadays diesel is MORE than gas so the savings can be...nonexistant under certain conditions. (like the last two years!) Maybe the best thing would be to see the 1 liter three cylinder engine which is gas fueled...

That's an awesome sounding little diesel. If Toyota brought the Yaris with that engine to the US, I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
