The service manual and parts catalog show the automatic transmission filter as part number: 35330-0W020. It is metal strainer type filter, which traps particulate and is not designed to be disassembled to clean it. I replaced one of that same design on my Xterra recently.

There seems to be two schools of thought on these filters - Some say that they will last the life of the transmission and others say that they should be replaced at a regular interval.
