You could buy our kit and for less than $10 put yellow film, this also helps prevent chipping and cracking.

I've tried it with and without the film - the film is the way to go, even if you just do clear. Bare glass lenses (as most foglight kits provide) will chip, crack or break very quickly.

Few days late but let me chime in, I'm in the glass industry (fenestration) and adding an adhesive film to any sort of glass will strengthen it. The problem with some films for lighting is that the film will not withstand heat - so be sure you are buying a good quality, heat resistant film.

^ yellow bulbs give nice yellow light, but they don't make the fogs look yellow when off.

@ EPyarisdriver: glass lenses with a 1 year warranty. BUT if a rock smashes your foglight, I think we'd agree that is not a product failure.

I saw vinyl film on eBay for $5. that was enough to do two sets.

Höen Endurance Fog Light Bulbs
Here's the blurb from their website http://www.hoen-usa.com/fog.htm "The Endurance line is similar in appearance to the lighting used in Endurance motor sports such as the ALMS and 24 Heurs du Mans. We recommend this bulb for fog lamp use only! It is very, very yellow in color. The Endurance bulb pair is priced at $39 per pair and ships in factory wattage requirements." Absolute best yellow fog bulbs I have ever used!!! Used 2 pairs of Hella Optilux Yellow before my Hoens. While the Hellas were decent in terms of yellow color, brightness, and lifespan, they DID NOT come anywhere close to the Hoens. The Hoen bulbs are so bright at stock 55W and the yellow light output is really bold. Before buying my Hoens, I have researched PIAA, Nokya, and Eurolight and none of them look as good as Hoen. The quality of the bulb is fantastic and are vibration resistant too. If anyone wants pics I can post. |

I just installed the yellow film, I needed something to protect the lights due to my daily drive to work goes through construction area where levees are being repaired.
I put two layers of film on them. Still waiting for it to get completely dark here to see them on. Last edited by Brianr4; 02-19-2011 at 10:01 PM. |
