Wagon build for my son...
I guess I'll call it an early 1st Bday present....
*Sorry for the pics, my SLR is having issues. This is how it started. It's a "Gorilla cart" that Home Depot sells for 69.99. It comes with 10" tires and has a 600lb weight rating. It also has a dump feature that I disabled by running a couple of bolt through the plastic tub and frame...I didn't want to accidentally dump my son out. ![]() I used some made for plastic paint on the outside of the tub. ![]() Next I took the two piece rims apart and shot them with some red engine enamel and cured them in the oven. ![]() Next up are the undercarriage lights, red LED strips on the outside and an old fashioned red street glow tube down the middle. ![]() ![]() Power is supplied by a 12V 7.5Ah battery in a camera bag that has been riveted onto the tub with tri-fold rivets. The sitch on the camera bag powers the lights. ![]() I wanted a momentary switch on the handle so I welded a tab on. ![]() ![]() Connected to the momentary switch...a car horn! ![]() ![]() Added a 12v socket to the power, I have a USB adapter for the socket. ![]() Clean install, no wires showing. ![]() ![]() Interior is done, removable memory foam seat cushion + back rests. ![]() ![]() Shot in the dark ![]() Who owns this sweet ride? ![]() I think he likes it! ![]() I have one last thing to wrap up, that's speakers for the sound system. I bought a pair last night but they're larger than I like so I'm going to run out and grab another set...

Always fun building toys for kids. I had a couple of old 16" bikes laying around, so I got out the ol' jigsaw, and built this body (Morgan sorta), and used the bike parts to build this. Still have the plans, but the original took 7 years of punishment (you know how kids are with stuff that doesn't belong to them) from the locals, then bought by a trucker.
Believe it or not, not one kid was able to roll it, which amazed me... |

I didn't know how to do that project when I started, either. It just happened to work, that's all. It has to do with imagination, I guess...
I've shown my full-size roadster here before. I made some mistakes: the windshield was too far forward by 4", and I paid for it with the buffeting I took at 65mph. The original fenders were not enough to stop dust, dirt, and small rocks, so the fenders were changed. One of the great things about a wood car is that changes are just a jigsaw away! |

^ I thought about going that route, but our Montero is the only vehicle that can haul the wagon and anything bigger wouldn't fit in the back with the seats up.
