Tell Me About i tablets

I take trips and have a wifi notebook to send pictures and emails.

Im thinking of getting one of those tablets because they are smaller and take up less room.

Can I download pictures from my digital camera to a tablet? No one in the store seems to know.

I have seen tablets which had a port for a mini SD card. Of course with an adapter you can use one of those in a digital camera.

If you plug the mini SD card into the port of the tablet can you download lictures? Is there software in the tablet that allows you to do that?

Thanks!

Which tablet do you have ? Some have Micro SD card slots and some don't. Some also have a Mini USB port as well but there's many different variables. Give us an actual brand and model number.

Cameras now days also have WiFi capabilities to where you can upload pictures to a social network or email.

Give us a bit more info.

it all depends which Tablet you have. If it is an Android based tablet then it shouldn't be a problem as the OS will just mount the SD card as a drive, and you can access the contents through any app that deals with files. Blackberry and WebOS based tablets should also have this capability.

The only problem would be connecting the camera directly to the tablet, since it is not known what kind of drivers the memory card controller is using and thus the tablet might not recognize the hardware.
