Question crush washer on drain plug?

Hello, Does the Yaris come with a crush washer on the drain plug from the factory? I did 2 oil changes so far on the Yaris, and a few on a 02 Corolla, guess what, both of them don't have a crush washer! Maybe the guy at the shop just tossed them away? Should i get one for my next oil change? Thanks.

Yes, it comes with one. You can buy them for about $.50. I always replace mine at every oil change.

They tend to stick to the oil pan and not stay with the plug. I always have to tap them off the bottom of the pan with a screwdriver or wrench. They are an aluminum washer sandwiched between grey paper.

I changed my oil yesterday, and i saw there was a silver washer permanently attached onto the black oil pan. Right by the drain hole. Anyone else noticed it?

Same here. I did the first oil change on my 2012 and was searching the oil pan for the washer when it was stuck on the pan!

I just left it stuck there and put the plug back in. No leak.
