You want the flow to be compatable with the larger throttle body anyways. |

I got PM's that the thread has become confusing, and I can't prune it, so.....
For those following along, please note that posts from #231 on (Silver Streak) refer to swapping a 1ZZ throttle body onto a STOCK manifold, and are not about the MICRO IMAGE manifold. Our manifold comes with the O-ring, is a direct bolt-on, and requires no modifications to use either a 1ZZ throttle body or your stock 1NZ throttle body.

Awesome! I'm so excited to see the new version of the manifold. I've already got my information in and am on the wait list. I can't wait to get this and install it with my 1ZZ throttle body.

Why would you need 1zz injectors? I mean, I understand that they are a larger injector, but unless you are going turbocharged/supercharged, what's the point? Seems like it would be a bit overkill for NA.

Not necessarily, a large TB and upgraded manifold will lean out the mixture. I'm sure the maf will see more air coming in and increase the fuel delivery but if the stock injectors can't pump anymore, then the 1zz should meet those needs. More air + more fuel = more explosions = more power.

^ I don't see this manifold + 1ZZ TB requiring larger injectors.
Dynos will tell, but it certainly doesn't need them with the stock TB - as shown on the dyno.

Not always. I've dyno-tuned two Hondas I've owned in the past with VAFCs and wide-band, both with many bolt-on mods and larger throttle bodies. Naturally aspirated, with stock injectors, EVERY TIME I made power by reducing the fuel injector pulse from stock. You'd be surprised what the stock injectors are capable of, every time I've put a car on a dyno with a wide-band o2, the car was running rich and I ended up taking away fuel to make power. In the case of my H22A-swapped Civic, I made 9 hp and 10 tq at the wheels with just a VAFC and some dyno time. The fuel and air mixtures need to be in balance, too much of either one isn't a good thing.
More air + balanced fuel = more power More air + too much fuel = less power, lower mpg |

i really cant imagine the need for bigger injectors for this N/A setup. Your better off getting your car tuned.

I've tried calling and emailing but don't have a date as to when I'm getting one shipped to me yet. I WANT so badly. When I do get one I'll be sure to post lots of pics and try and get it to a dyno after install.
