I read the following
http://www.ehow.com/info_8594854_hap...-bearings.html The noise doesn't happen on sharp turn, and only happen when speed reach about 70....if it fails, shouldn't it happen whenever my speed is increasing? I am going to have a drive today to checking it since I did the tire rotation few days ago and my brother said he didn't hear anything the day after. By the way, one of my tire lost its cover....would it be a reason to create noise due to ...wind? |

I do know that it was obvious they were going on my Kia.
When I'd break the steering wheel would shake like crazy and veer to the right. It always made a slight grinding/crunching type of sound during sharp turns. Does yours do that?

It's weird as sometimes it disappear..Like today At first, it "woo wooo.." when close to 70....after a while, it seems worsen, "woo" at about 6x ... A while later, when I try to speed up again, it disappear....=___= An update -- I follow some instruction online to jackup my car...then try to shake the wheel to see any noise. It seems normal. (I shake with my hands on the top and bottom of the wheel). Is it possibly something relate to belt slipping? Last edited by soup1207; 06-01-2013 at 08:07 PM. |

Today got my car back from a good rating auto repair store (good rating according to yelp.com). They can't hear any noise .. According to them, it shouldn't be a problem os wheel bearing.
Now I can only hope it's some sealing problem like windows. Keep you guys update for future reference if I figure that out. |

tires
Some tires will sound like that woo woo woo after a certain uneaven tread wear, espacially after a complete rotation on those same tires. More common in 50-60k miles warranty tires. "been there done that...seen it"

The auto repair store failed to hear the noise....but like I said, it sometimes disappear and it may also disappear after 70 mph. I am so lost about it. Now I can only rely on the auto technician who claiming that he cannot hear any noise. |

I'm leaning towards tires as well.
