No Headunit...No Problem.
Okay i've seen a few guys ask about running systems off a Tablet/Ipad/Cell Phone. So i decided to use my Galaxy S3 as my Source of choice.
What i used. First Image is an equalizer i Picked up for under 30 bucks. that is where the signal from my phone feeds into then Rca's run to my amp. Second image is a 2 channel Power Bass which feeds 100 watts x 2 to my front door speakers. At the moment that is all the speakers i have. I sold/took out my old system. And that was all that was left was the door speakers. Third picture is a basic layout of how everything is connected. If you want any more details i can go a bit more in depth. The 4 th picture is of RCA to 3.5mm connectors which connect my phone to the equalizer. I found just this past week that with it connected my Phone GPS will play through the speakers and pause whatever music i'm Playing. For some reason the pictures came out in a weird cluster. In my next post i'll show what was used to wire in the equalizer.

I still had my wire harness i used for my radios so that's what i used to wire up my Equalizer. I circled which connector i used.
You'll only need the Red - Goes to Remote on Equalizer Yellow - Goes to Batt Black - Goes to ground. The rest of the wires i taped up and the other connector i didn't use at all. The label that says Aux Input is where the RCA to 3.5mm will go connected. (Then this goes connected to your phone/tablet ) Rca to amp will go in whichever you feel best for your application in either Front or Rear. I used the RCA that says Front. If you're using a 4 channel amp then you'd use both both front and rear labeled RCA Outputs. Also has an Output for your Sub Amp as well

Interesting. I'm assuming that you've moved on from AM/FM, cassette and CD? I can't tell if the upper gap is a second cubby, or just a gap. I found some similar EQ units that claim to be 1/2 DIN, and was wondering how that works out with a double DIN bezel.

Update
Going to see what a double din looks like in here. I've gone through quite a few headunits but never tried a double din. Had to relocate the EQ
