I can't tell you exact dyno numbers because I never visited a dyno after installing the exhaust but you will definitely feel the difference in acceleration. You will not regret doing it.

ohkhay ...

if i use 2 resonators in the middle .. just for lowering exhaust sound .. would it effect the performance ?

I don't think so but with one resonator the car is quiet enough that it won't bother you cruising at normal speed.

Here is a video of my car with 2" exhaust, magnaflow imitation muffler(the original magnaflow should sound better) and a magnaflow 2" glasspack as a resonator. With the OEM Toyota resonator I think the car should sound better.

if i'm not mistaken ... the point you are making here is ...

the original OEM resonator in the catback which basically is the third one in line ... has 2" in and 2" out pipe width ?

im getting too confused now .. :S

some say go with max 2" pipes some say nah its ok even if u take 2.5" pipes .. some say keep the 1st cat .. same say remove both cats and have only one resonator in between ... :S

im surfing over the forums and internet from the last few days now ... but honestly speaking the more and more im reading stuff the more im getting confused ... :S

i did experimented one thing ... i put a 1.7" pipe ( 1.7" measurement from inside ) from the neck of the headers, removed both cats and resonator till the rear bumper and installed a topspeed muffler at the end ... the inlet of the muffler was 2.5"

^ It depends what your long term hp goals are to determine which pipe diameter to go with. Here is a good read:

finally got around to getting mine back on the dyno with the current exhaust...no real difference over the old set up peak vs. peak...but after peak power was up like 7whp...

I have 1.5 Yaris m/t. I'm going to install unichip q+, but I'm waiting for the exhaust set up. I've done porting polish, open filter, megan header, lightweight crank pulley. The megan header outlet is 2". What's the best pipe size and exhaust set up? Is 2" mid pipe all the way until the muffler? Or should i put an oem resonator in the middle? I've tried 1.75" and i put the oem resonator in the middle, but the acceleration was not good. Then i put off the resonator, so it was 1.75" all the way to muffler. It was better than with the resonator. I thing it's because the porting polish maybe. Is there anyone has done some research about the pipe size with piggyback install? How much hp and torque was it?

Just did a full 2" custom Stainless Steel downpipe with flowmaster 40 series endbox. Removed the cats in the process too since we don't have any emissions testing here whatsoever. OEM resonator. Yes I also did the axle-back section too, forgot to take a photo.
It has a very deep tone, but I would like to quiet it down just a little on the low rev range (upto 3000 RPM?), should I put in another resonator or a high-flow cat to town it down? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have the same engine as you do, I did a full 2" pipe all the way and acceleration was pretty good. Felt decent gains over stock system. I did also remove the cats and put a flowmaster in the process though.
