110% sure. There's a 4mm difference in mounting hole spacing and even the hole for the sensor to go in is 1mm too small

The biggest difference that comes into play between your time and mine is that our engines are different. I have the 1NZ, and even with a wheel/tire setup that is heavier than stock and an axleback I've been able to get a 10 second range 0-60 with everything stock otherwise.

Sticky tires can take away performance of a car also. They have a higher rolling resistance, which basically means that you need more energy to move them than a tire with lower rolling resistance tires such as snow tires or energy conserving tires. With the 2SZ being limited on power already as is, sticky tires can negatively impact the performance.

Honestly, just by adding an intake and exhaust isn't going to make any car much faster (there are exceptions). It will however make your car louder, and if that is what floats your boat then

I have the exact same issue with an intake I ordered. It sucks haha and I can't return it now cause I had it forgot about. Have to find a way to rig it up to work somehow. I could file out the maf sensor hole and try to find a way to secure the sensor down tight. The maf sensor is literally less than a mm to big but screw holes are off quote a bit.

If the screw holes are that far off it might be better to drill new holes and tap them if there's enough material. If not then I would say try and find a different intake or at least a section with a MAF mount. I think someone had one posted in the classifieds section on the forum. Can you put up a picture or two of the hole alignment?

Does the sensor fit in the hole? The screws aren't esencial, they're just there to locate its orientation and keep it in place.

Sensor is maybe 1mm bigger than the hole

Well if you have tools to make the hole bigger and get the sensor in there you can just seal it with a little silicone and zip ties.

I think I can bolt one bolt in? I don't remember honestly. When I saw it didn't work I ripped out the intake pipe and chucked it across the drive lmao. I'm off this weekend ill try it then

Never thought about zip tying the sensor down. That'll work! I'm guessing if I take a metal file to the hole ill be able to get it to fit. It's not off by much but enough to piss me off hahaha

Nope neither lined up on mine. Both were off about 3-5 mm or so. The maf is less than a mm from fitting but it wouldn't go down. I'd say I'll be installing it this weekend coming & I'll let you know how it works out

Well I did it. Bore the MAF hole out 1mm shoved the MAF in and ziptied it on snug. Intake is on

I would be a little weary of the zip ties on the MAF, don't want any leaks there. Maybe you can make an adapter with some aluminum stock.
