I have 2014, same engine and transmission, and basically the same body as 2017, 2018. I've been tracking my mileage since new. Currently lifetime mileage of 33.72 MPG. I'd estimate 75/25 city to highway ratio. My best tank was 41.1, my worst 28.8.

I just drove my mom's 2015 Yaris to the shop for service. I clicked over to MPG avg and she is getting 28.9, all shitty driving. She's 75 and freeways now scare her. Guess she still kind of has a lead foot. I reset the avg mpg and I managed to get it up to 32 with my city driving.
Lately I have been hyper focused onlearnin hypermiling on my 2018 RAV4. With a little effort, I'm managing 30.1mpg in town on that. So when I saw my mom's 28.9 I kind of laughed. She says F mpgs, as long as she puts in her $20 and goes two weeks, she's happy. |

I have a ‘16 and I drive Alligator Alley to work. It’s straight and flat. I average 29.8 mpg usually. I keep up with traffic so I average 80-85 mph at 3,500 RPM. Great little engines.
