Where are you mounting your AEM FI/C ??
The boomslang harness is not very long...are you pretty much stuck with mounting the AEM on top of the factory ecu?

why would it not pass?
i figure if i'm spending $3000 on an upgrade, i should spend the $2500 to make it run correctly. this is just my opinion. i believe you do things right, or you don't do them at all. |

assuming the infinity is a standalone, most etests now use the obdII port to check for engine readiness. standalone=no obdII=etest fail
This is the biggest obstacle for us wanting to go boosted on a yaris who have to pass e tests. (another big reason I chose to do a 2zr swap)

Where are you getting 3000 for an upgrade?
Beauty of being a fabricator and getting parts at the right time for a good price. Ill be spending probably more getting the car tuned then actual money in the parts of the build. 6 years in the making not in any particular rush

meh. i don't think they check that around here. the plug the car in and check readyness codes. it takes 10 seconds. then they test the fuel cap for integrity, it takes like 20 seconds....

I have the Camcon.....Yet its still in the box. I just don't trust any tuners, nor do I beleive a few more horsepower is worth the risk.
So I still run the factory ECM and an n/a engine :-| |

This is the thought that keeps me sticking with my factory ecu whenever my brain wanders into the realm of a piggyback. I don't plan on going boosted and realistically I don't want to fill up with premium since it my DD'er. In the end my net gain in hp would be virtually negligable, not worth the risk of a bad tune blowing the engine
