Highway cruising RPM question

Hi All,

I'm new here with the question and looking for some feedback.

Yaris sedan has recently launched in my region here so I've booked it and wanted to know what would be the RPM on 100 km/hr? It's about normal highway speed.

My daily commute is about 70% highway and 30% city.

I've opted for 1.33 (1nr-fe) 5-speed manual engine option (Ativ version) so unsure of what should I expect from fuel consumption standpoint.

FYI - I've searched forum but couldn't find fuel consumption info with 5 speed manual / sedan body-type. Also, the test drive is only available within city.

Any help would be appreciated.

I dont think the body type makes any difference, this is the XP13 hatch with the same engine, but with six speed gearbox.

In the US we don’t have a smaller 1.3 L we only have a 1.5 L. I would’ve bought the 1 L worried available.

@bronsin Yeah, correct. I figured that part out after looking at the link shared by @stykerdk. We've both 1.3 & 1.5L in yaris with both MT & AT/CVT in my region but I went with 1.3L & planning to install turbos & stuff in a year or so.

100km/hr normally your RPM is within ~3000rpm for 2014-2016 Yaris Sedan 1.3L Manual Trans
If you keep your foot steady and light on the accelerator after achieving 100km/hr speed you will get roughly 14-16Km/Liter for fuel consumption.

BTW, I have the 2NZ-FE 1.3 engine single VVTI (intake) while yours has the more upgraded version 1NR-FE dual VVTI probably more efficient than the NZ-FE series due to the additional valves (intake and exhaust)
