Yaris, nuff said!
I have an engineering background and considered the Hyundai. It is a good car IMO, but not a Yota that will serve you better in the long run. If you plan on keeping the car for an extended time seriously consider the Yota as your first choice. |

Yaris all the way, honestly looked at the Hyundai...only thing good is warranty, but if they have to sell your a warranty for you to buy the car, doesnt that tell you something about reliability.
Toyota hits you with a 5yr, not 10yr, which I interperit that if the car doesnt break before that 5yr mark, it probably never will until really high miles. Not to mention: Toyota has a HUGE head start in the known area of engineering and reliabilty. Hyundai has only been really making good cars for about 7 years or so. Take that into consideration.

My neighbor just got a sport nice to look at, 17" rims, sunroof, etc... but the interior looks really cheap, and it doesn't compare in ride.

I looked at all avail small cars b4 I chose the Yaris. If I remember correctly MPG on the Accent sucks. Plus what do you want to hear (You drive a Hyundai!) or (You drive a Toyota!)

The vehicle weight on the Accent was surprising to me and I think that doesn't help matters much. |

everyone here will say yaris.
The hyundai and fit can come better equipped... but well equipped yarii are much easier to find nowadays... with some bargaining power too. Ultimately, the absolutely proven reliability, styling, and simplicity of the yaris won out for me. Its a blast to drive, and gets looks everywhere - if I drive through the city someone will probably ask if its electric, how much it was, or just comment that its an awesome little car. I can't imagine getting the same reaction with the hyundai or the putridly ugly until well modded fit. You may also want to check out the scion lineup... could have something your interested in. |

As with every year that passes the 08's will have more things, and possibly new things which will help in the decision. What is leaning you towards an accent? Looks, toys, or warranty? spend your money wisely.
