I have the steering wheel audio and also the bluetooth telephone control on my UK Spec 2012, 1.33 Yaris TR Auto (not sure which bit of that means I have the different clips though!)

Also, pin 1 & 2 of the 10-pin connector are already occupied so I put the cruise in the spare 4-pin socket next to it.

Edit- It works!
Hello everyone,

CTScott, I've received your kit (thank you).

I've tried to install that today but got stuck when tried to remove the airbag. The steering wheel of my Yaris is exactly the same like one on the pictures above but I couldn't get access to the clips. The steering wheel back cover has only one hole (in the middle). Any idea how do I unclip the remaining two?

thanks

Had a look athe post 55 (thanks Stuart_f) & hopefully I will be able to manage to do this way

Big thanks to C Scott.

Fitted mine this week and it works a treat. Reasonable easy to install except for one stubborn spring clip>

Thanks again.

Finally got my cruise control kit installed and tested on my Yaris III. Works perfect and I find it very usefull.

The installation process is very simple exept removing the airbag. It was absolutely nightmare! The access to the side clips is very limited. As somebody said in the post 55 the side clips required to be lifted. I couldn't do that with the clip located near to stalk control. I even removed two screws holding the audio panel on the steering wheel to make more room to access that bloody clip. Finally I've managed to completely pull out the clip from it nest and the airbag popped out. What a relief that was.... I was able to start breathing again. The rest of the installation process (including final push the airbag to the steering wheel) took less than 5 min.

I strongly recommend to all Yaris users to get the cruise control from CTScott. The price is reasonable and as I mentioned before its worth every penny.

I have tested the cruise control on a long trip (Birmingham UK - Brussells BEL) & I am so impressed with it. Apart of driving comfort it also has reduced the fuel comsumption big time.

Someone said to me that using cruise control will increase breake pads usage. How does actually work? Does cruise control use breaks to keep constant speed while driving downhill?

Cruise control does not have the ability to actively brake the car. It can only do so with engine braking.

Unfortunately there is not an OEM solution for your Yaris.

Hi there.

I have installed the switch, the Cruise Control works with no problems, BUT the lights in the dash are not active.
Could it be that there a no bulbs installed? I think this should be LED or not?
Someone have an idea?

One hint for dismounting the Airbag.
The first spring is simple, just press a screwdriver into the hole on the bottom. (as described here in the thread)
The second spring comes of through the side-panel, which you have to remove to see the spring and later install the switch (also as described here in the thread)
The third spring seems complicated but as the holes are elongated you only have to slide the hole Airbag-Unit a little to the otherside and the unit comes off.

Some of the European instrument clusters are not equipped with the indicator.

I'm from Slovenia, and have same problem. CC from scot works flawless, but no light indication. I tried to check if there are some leds, but gaguge needle is hard to remove or i don't now a right way to remove to check if there are missing two leds.
If there are not any leds, maybe if solder up some leds an try?

I don't think that the LEDs would work if you added them. From what I have found with the software in the clusters, it doesn't drive the features not present.
