Thanks guys..

I like the Craigslist idea..lol!

I'm just tired and almost willing to do anything to just be done. Things can be replaced. Having him out of my life might be worth an empty house.

You need to stop listening to strangers and get a good lawyer. They are around, you just have to ask. Asking a corporate lawyer can get you leads on who is good at divorce. Judges have seen everything so they tend to be fair.

Moving forward is everything.

I have contacted a lawyer but I can't afford the 2,000 dollar retainer most of the require.

What the ex isn't taking into account is during our marriage, I paid for ALL household expenses...rent, utilities, phone, cable, half the food..I pay for my car, etc....he's just a jerk.

Lawyer... $2,000.
Divorce... 50% of everything.
Sharing kids and pets with husband... 50% 0f your heart.
Used pistol at local gun store and box of ammo... $100.
Some things money can't buy, but this isn't one of them.
I only do the math, the choice is ultimately yours.

Gee, Lisa, I feel your pain, as I have been there, a long time ago. I lost everything, and all it was eventually was the next beginning. As long as you have the girls and some hope, you will be fine. I have no idea how the Law works there, but I suggest countersuing, offer the lawyer 75% of what you get as contingency, and drive him out of the State. Best of luck...

Sorry, didn't mean to vent but nobody here wants to listen. You guys can choose to read or not. I'm usually pretty good at holding myself together but I can't do this.

I like to listen.

I'm sorry to hear that, Lisa. A man with no backbone deserves nothing but misery. I'm sure he'll get his...

Got pulled over for doing 110 mph in a 55 mph zone... and the cop let me drive away without a ticket! I am WAY taking that as a sign to stop driving it daily. I have too many performance parts on it to want to go the speed limit, so I show it off a lot. I need to make it my "Weekend" car. Something I take to the track or show, and maybe to a drive in restaurant to show off, and that's it. I now have been pulled over 3 times in just over 3 months. I am deploying in the next 2 weeks (or so, seeing as it is taking FOREVER to get my paperwork straight) to Iraq for my 3rd time. Wish me luck, and I'll try to check in once in awhile!

All of you, really. Thank you SO much. I can't possibly let anyone know how much your compassion means to me. Anybody who says an online community isn't REAL just has no clue.

I know I'll be OK...maybe with a house absent of furniture and for a while and things at this moment just seem so hopeless...but if it's THINGS that will make him happy, he can have them. Life just isn't about THINGS.

^ exactly. Material objects come and go. It's the pursuit of happiness and meaningful endeavors that make life as good as it is and can be :)
