Those adapters are awesome! He sure could sell those, or someone could!
At this point I guess I'll stick with my spinners, though. |

I got the spun moons for my 2008 Yaris Sedan and ended up driving only 3 miles before one of them popped off and rolled into a bush across the street. They look amazing, but the factory steel wheels dont seem to have enough of a lip on the inside to hold them tight.

Monica: what about the "FULL 360 DEGREE METAL SNAP-ON CLIP THAT KEEPS THEM HELD ON TIGHT.".....like it says in one of the ads. Other manufacturers make mention of a "screw on" type.
Oh, I found a side view of one brand who says that there are tabs on the mounting ring that can be bent outward to make the fit better.

Thank you for the advice though. Wish you had been around when I was asking people how to make them stay on and nobody replied. |

I got the `Racing Disc' version here:
http://www.thehotrodgirl.com/hubcaps.html instead of the `Full Moon' style. Pretty good price and slightly flatter profile. They don't really help the MPG a measurable amount but I like the look. Only once had 1 pop off on a local dirt road. Fortunately I heard the pop through the open window and quickly stopped. And kid you not, I watched in the rearview as the cover rolled up slowly behind me and bumped into the car on the same side it came off of. The racing discs do not have a valve hole on the outside, but there is a notch in the grip rim so you don't pinch the valve when installed fully. Due to these and a partial upper grille block, one of my coworkers has taken to teasing me for becoming a hypermiling nut. But I am enjoying my little hobby by bumping up my commuting trip average from 42 to 47 Mpg, with an all time record of 54. (duplicated 3x) |

I had those clip-on ones on my xB. They stayed on ok, but they were rather noisy at low speed. They clicked like a typewriter.
